On the page 12 of AN4580(which is attached herewith),  there are some steps to put  the Sololite into system idle mode under the section 5.2.4.

What does  "boot kernel with command debug_uart2" mean?

The wording seems confusing but it’s most likely referring to setting up the serial console to run the steps that follow on the document. This is similar to the setup from the other i.MX6 Power Measurement App Notes.
