imx8qm mek develop on MCUXpresso IDE

Hi, we are using a imx8qm mek dev board to develop an automotive application. Till today we didn't need MCUXpresso as we developed all of our code starting from examples, but now i need to configure additional modules (SPI/DMA) and i'm unable to do so.

I tried with MCUXpresso 24.12.148 but the iMX8qm doesn't appears to be in the available board SDK so i downloaded the 2.9.0 SDK .zip file from the NXP portal and tried to import in to MCUXpresso IDE but i just get the error : "The SDK 'SDK_2.x_MEK-MIMX8QM' does not contain any MCUXpresso IDE compatible toolchain."

I tried then to use MCUXpresso for VScode but i get another error "Error: MCUXpresso SDK import failed: SDK MEK-MIMX8QM is not supported. Expected version >= 2.13.0." and the latest available from the sdk configurator is 2.9.0.

What's the correct way to use MCUXpresso with the imx8qm board?

Thank you for your interest in NXP Semiconductor products,

As you mentioned latest versions of IDEs do not support such revision of SDK, and i.MX 8 QuadMax SDK did not continue in the SDK scope, the solutions only leave the standalone build.

I could advice you to open the devices in any reader that can get you to edit and use the project template provided in the SDK.
