Dear NXP Team,
We want to display YUV format video decoded by VPU on eLCDIF. We checked with latest release 4.14 release and came to know that eLCDIF driver only support RGB data format.
Is there any driver available to support YUV data format on eLCDIF.?
Please let me know if there are any limitations to support this format.
Thanks,
Jignesh Patel
Hi Jignesh,
The i.MX8MQ does not provide the driver, but the GPU can process the YUV source data and output it to RGB format, in this case, the output RGB data can be sent to eLCDIF channel.
Regards
Thank you,
So do you have any sample example by which we can test it. ?
use-case: VPUDEC-GPU-eLCDIF
Thanks,
Jignesh Patel
We don´t have any example with LCDIF.
Okay but do we have any example of gpu that convert yuv to rgb. So we will try to implement above use case by our self.
Thanks,

Hello Bio_TICFSL,
We got VPU base decoding example from buildroot. We have tested and it works well. We also manage to play RGB raw file to eLCDIF as per our requirement. So now if we get any reference code for video croma conversion and scaling by GPU that will help us lot.
Please let me know if we have any limitation to implement this pipeline.
Thanks,
