imx8 self programming

Hi *,

I am using Imx8 for a project. i have a doubt regarding software for cortex m4. How to program a cortex m4 without JTAG. is it possible for A35 to program cortex m4 or bootloader is required for cortex m4. can you please give a overview on the self update for cortex m4 as well as A35 and how can I achieve that.
