Hi there,
I'm working on a iMX8M plus based board on which I'm running Linux. The ENET is driven by the FEC Linux driver which doesn't support XDP. I see that dpaa2 has integrated XDP support. Is it possible to somehow get an XDP program running on this driver and filter packets arriving on the ENET?
Thanks,
Nir
Hi,
Can you please relate to the following link?
[PATCH v5 0/3] net: fec: add xdp and page pool statistics (kernel.org)
When will XDP support for fec driver be integrated into the mainline or imx kernel?
Thanks,
Nir.
Are you using the NXP reference board? Which version BSP are you using?
Hi,
I'm not using the iMX8M plus evaluation board.
The Linux OS is built by a Yocto project based on NXP provided meta-layers, Yocto version is hardknott.
The Linux kernel version is 5.10.109, PREEMPT_RT patched.
The board is fully functional. I need to run XDP filtering capabilities on the ENET driver.
Thanks,
Nir.
I think it is the question about the linux, you can google it to see more method and advice. Sorry about it.
I understand.
Can you check if there is any plan or timeline to add XDP support to the FEC Linux driver?
If not, can you give a contact to someone that can assist with this task?
Thanks.
