Hi
We are using the imx6 in my development board (Reference from nitrogen6_max EVM).
While using RTC clock, it is getting reset after every power cycle.
Is there any pin configuration need to be update to prevent RTC reset on power cycle.
Also provide some register setting to keep RTC continuous ON
For power supply we have used battery power supply (Battery voltage of 4.2V) on VIN pin.
We are not using LICELL pin to power RTC.
Thank you
NIket
Hi Nlket
nitrogen6 board was developed is supported by third party boundary
devices, so issue may be posted to its support. In general one can check
processor VDD_SNVS_IN with oscilloscope, there should be no sags during
removing power. Also may be tested with nxp sabre sd reference board

Hi Igor,
sorry for the confusion here. We have not used development board (Reference from nitrogen6_max EVM) for RTC testing, but we have used our developed board based on i.MX6D based along with PMIC PF0100.
Kindly suggest the solution as RTC goes OFF/reset mode.
We would like to have RTC to be ON continuously. Let me know what else you require.

Mrudang.
Hi Nlket
had you checked processor VDD_SNVS_IN with oscilloscope ?

Hi Igor,
We are getting 3.0V on VDD_SNVS_IN rail.

Hi Nlket
this board is supported by its vendor, boundary devices, suggest to contact its
tech support. Just for test you can try with nxp sabre sd reference board.

Hi Igor,
As I informed you we are not using Nitrogen EVK board. We are testing on our own developed board. And it is very similar with Sabre board. Only the change is as I mentioned earlier we didn't use LICELL pin to power RTC. SNVS is powered through VIN.
Let me know if you require any other details.

Mrudang
"SNVS is powered through VIN"
so when board was powered off, does SNVS also powered off ?
You can test rtc with nxp linux bsps described on below link:

Hi Igor,
Yes, when a board was powered off, SNVS rail is ON.
I guess we have solved the issue.
Thanks for the support.
Thanks,
Mrudang
