The nxp website clearly states that the iMX8M can encode "1080p30 (h.264) - SW" (https://www.nxp.com/products/processors-and-microcontrollers/arm-processors/i.mx-applications-proces...

When we have tested this using the encoder in Android, however, we are only seeing 4 to 5 fps for 1080p encoding.

What are the conditions to get 1080p software encoding up to 30fps? Even if this is marketing specs, I would like to know all the caveats that need to be in place to achieve 30fps so that we can understand what we need to do to replicate this claim.

For the i.MX8M h.264 software encoding, with 720p video, can 30fps be achieved?

since 1080p up to 6.9, I don't think can support 720p@30fps, maybe 15fps

i.mx8M doesn't have hardware encoder, tested by software encoding(x264enc ), can get 1080p up to 6.91fps,
