Dear NXP Community,
We are currently designing a new iMX8M Plus based custom board using LPDDR4: Micron MT53D512M32D2 which comes with two versions : MT53D512M32D2-053 and MT53D512M32D2-046.
We would like to take MT53D512M32D2-053 as it is more affordable, but we are not sure about its availability. For that reason, we might also need to use MT53D512M32D2-046 temporarily. I would like to know if the lpddr4_timing.c generated for MT53D512M32D2-053 with lower clock-rate/data-rate could be used for the MT53D512M32D2-046 with higher clock-rate/data-rate WITHOUT re-calibration and stress testing, please?
Thanks and best regards,
Khang
Hello,
Just to be safe on your design I would suggest to re-calibrate and run the DDR stress tool:
i.MX 8M Family DDR Tool Release
This would help on getting configuration for your new DDR.
Best regards.
Hi @JorgeCas ,
That would be the best option. However, my customer does not want to pay twice for the bringing-up
Best Regards,
Khang
