How can a failed boot of the primary image be detected once the secondary image boots. How would one know the primary image had an issue? Thanks.
Yes, but how is a failed boot condition detected once the secondary boot completes? There has to be a way to detect this at runtime or one would never know the primary image had an issue.
If the primary image fails SECO authorization or other failures occur (e.g. read error), ROM will then attempt to load the secondary image. You'll have information for reference to the sections of Chapter 5 System boot of RM. for example. Boot image.
