I am looking at using the iMX8 nano ultralite which has 4 UARTs. I need more than 4. The nano reference manual lists the LPUART in the Pin Mux table in section 8.1, but the datasheet has no mention of LPUART. Other iMX8 processor datasheets explicitly list LPUART peripheral.
Does the nano ultralite support LPUART or no?
The other option would FlexIO to simulate the UART. Is this possible with the Nano UltraLite?
Random question about nano reference manual....there are multiple pin mux tables in section 8.1 but no real description as to what the differences are between them or what they correspond to. The difference i see in the tables are the pads are different for the peripherals. What is each table meant to represent? Different verisons of the MCU?
Thanks!
Thank you for the response Rita. Is there a FlexIO driver for the Nano UltraLite that can be used to simulate the UART on other pins?
i.MX8MN do not have FLEXIO. How to use more UART I email to you.
i.MX8MN do not have LPUART, it only have 4 uart to use. If you need more uart, you can consider other i.MX products. Any questions contact us freely.
