We are considering developing a product using the iMX8 Mini's PCIe bus to talk to a Thunderbolt 3 interface chip.
I would like to put together a dev kit that lets us test this concept. My current working plan is to use some ADT-Link products to go from the M.2 E-Key connector to a PCIe slot, a PCIe-to-PCIe crossover bridge, then to a TB to PCIe expander.
This seems likely to introduce some signal degradation. Is there a simpler way to do this? I would appreciate a pointer to a tried-and-tested approach if one exists.
