Hello,
I’m experiencing an issue with the pre-made Linux distribution 5.10.35 for the Embedded Artists iMX7ULP uCOM Developer's Kit. Specifically, the CPU frequency isn’t able to be displayed from the kernel and the operating points (OPPs) are not being registered, as indicated in the dmesg log. Specifically, grepping the dmesg log shows the following output:
dmesg output when grepping cpu
As a consequence I also cannot see any governors or cpu frequency . It appears that the device tree might be missing the proper OPP table definitions (e.g., the "operating-points-v2" node) needed for the i.MX7ULP. However, I do see evidence of them in the device tree from the repository still. It seems kernel 5.10.35, is the last supported distribution for the iMX7ULP, so upgrading kernels seems to not be a solution here. Can anyone please advise if there is an updated device tree or a patch available to resolve this issue? Any guidance on how to correctly configure the device tree for proper CPU frequency scaling would be greatly appreciated. The device tree I am looking at is also attached for reference.
I also built the Embedded Artists image from source, and saw the same issue.
Thank you for your assistance.
