-voltages exceeded absolute maximum ratings given in datasheet
- incorrect power-up sequence
- applying external power voltages before processor fully ended
power up sequence
[SOHAIL] We are using MMPF0100 PMIC for powering our board. So, I believe none of above could have happened to the board.
- overheating
[SOHAIL] We are using consumer grade iMX6. The case temperature of iMX6 on our board doesn't exceed 35 degree Celsius with our application running on the board (20 degrees ambient temperature).
- ESD discharge, improper ESD handling
[SOHAIL] This could be a possible reason that our iMX6 are getting damaged. But do you think ESD can cause a damage to an extent that a pin on iMX6 gets fried up, as shown in the pictures in original post?????
