Hi Team,

My customer would like to know if there is any need to connect the VCC_SOC_IN to any inputs or these pins are internally connected to the Core?

Secondly, regards the ON/OFF Pin, once the device gets power-on in case the pin is on ON the device will startup or there is a need to wake up the device?

Hello,

 1. 
     It is highly recommended to connect ALL VCC_SOC_IN pins to external power supply.

2.
   ON/OFF behavior is described as following:

  A brief connection to GND in the OFF mode causes the internal power management
state machine to change the state to ON. In the ON mode, a brief connection to GND
generates an interrupt (intended to be a software-controllable power-down).
Approximately five seconds (or more) to GND causes a forced OFF

Hi @Yuri,

Thanks a lot for your inputs, I want just to get confirmation from your side

as I understand if my customer would like to use our RT1064 MCU on battery it is best to use an external DC/DC power supply (1.2v) for all ALL VCC_SOC_IN pins?

in addition, what is the current consumption is needed for powering the Core? and if there is any suggestion for battery operation with the RT family?

   Follow the reference design (DCDC_OUT is connected with VDD_SOC_IN).
For power consumption, please refer to the following app note:
