i.mx6Q audio codec wm8962 aplay error

hi,our hardware platform is i.mx6Q, the audio codec is wm8962, in the linux 3.0.35 ,we use command "aplay -Dplughw:0,0 xxx.wav" to play ,sometimes can not play and the error info is "aplay: pcm_write:1682: write error: Input/output error", please help me to fix it,thanks!

Hi Chao, check the list of devices with aplay -l and see if your playback device is really 0,0. Also take a look at dmesg to see what is reported for wm8962 and if there is any errors.

hi Sinan, thanks for your advise, our audio device is  0,0, and when I test it on the android4.3, the kernel reports some errors like this:

Failed to set MUTE: -5

POST_PMU: HPOUTR PGA event failed

wm8962 0-001a: DC servo timed out

Hello Chao,

The platform I'm working on is also i.MX6Q with WM8962.

Me too have this issue. That, I'm facing occasional failure in playback at which time I see Failed to set MUTE, wm8962 0-001a: DC servo timed out errors. Apart from this, I see some differences in the data exchange on the I2C channel compared to a working scenario.

Has your issue been resolved? If yes, could you share me solution? Thanks.
