i.mx53 SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)

Hi all,

linux 2.6.35.3

i.mx53

kingston SSD 128GB sata

I've got a i.mx53 board based on the imx53qsb and i'm trying to use the SATA connection during boot up I see:

scsi0 : ahci

ata1: SATA max UDMA/133 mmio [mem 0x10000000-0x10000fff] port 0x100 irq 28

then not long later it comes up with:

ata1: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)

I've tried sending "0 0 0" to /sys/class/scsi_host/host0/scan

which resulted in

ata1: hard resetting link

ata1: SATA link down (SStatus 0 SControl 300)

ata1: EH complete

Can someone aid me in tracking the problem down, the Google search results don't seems to resolve to anything?

In reply to myself I swapped out the SSD and the new drive although a 1.5GHz than the original 3GHz sata works apparently correctly, so the drive had gone bad.
