On the i.MX8m mini evk, USB1 (J301) is the download port while USB2 (J302) is the power supply port. Looking at the schematic (Page 6), both USB1 and USB2 appear to have similar design except, on USB1, EN_SNK1 (U303) is not directly connected to 3483_EN_SNK1(U302). It goes through this circuit:
On our application, we only need USB1 to download firmware and we are doing something else for power.
1) Are EN_SNK1 (U303) and 3483_EN_SNK1(U302) the only thing from preventing USB1 from acting as power supply port?
2) If we just need USB1 for downloading firmware, can I just leave EN_SNK1 (U303) and 3483_EN_SNK1(U302) pins open?
