i.MX8MSCALE DDR Tool vs. Config Tools for i.MX

Are there any differences in feature/functionality between the older "i.MX8MSCALE DDR Tool" and the "DDR tool" inside the newer "Config Tools for i.MX"?

In my case I'm using it with the i.MX8m+ (MIMX8ML8DVNLZAB)

Same question about RPA (xls) and the equivalent configurator in the DDR Tool. Do they provide same feature-set?

Thanks Jorge, so we'll use the new one. Having trouble getting the training to run, basically just timing out (in the new tool). Is there a way to get more verbosity of what is going on? could be usb or uart comm that somehow fails

In the case of DDR tool in Config Tools, you can check it in log window.

Could you please share it?

Are you able to connect with Cortex-A COM port?

Do you have the board in serial download mode?

Both tools are very similar, the main disadvantage of i.MX8MSCALE DDR Tool is that it is no longer being updated. The latest available version (3.31) does not include recent bug fixes that are continuously incorporated into the DDR tool of Config Tools for i.MX.

Because of this, the training by i.MX8MSCALE DDR Tool may no longer be considered valid, especially since there is an actively supported tool available.
