Hi NXP team,
I would like to ask a question about the Battery Backup current.
The current of VDD_SNVS_IN of i.MX6UL will reach up to 500 uA.
Even if TAMPER PINs are not used, it will still be 205uA.
Using a CR2450 battery (about 550 mAh), such current consumption will run out of power in 2 months.
Products from other manufacturers have a maximum of around 20uA, or even less than 10uA.
Does NXP have any improvement plans or other suggestions for battery backup?
Best Regards,
Tammy
Hi @TammyTsai,
I hope you are doing well.
Please refer to the latest i.MX 6UltraLite Power Consumption Measurement Application Note. The current consumption in the SNVS domain is 22uA as mentioned in Table 10. SNVS measurement results. Apart from this, no other data is available.
I hope it helps!
Thanks & Regards,

Hi @riteshmpatel,
Thanks for your reply.
How to address the BOOT_MODE requirement of step 2?
Could I switch BOOT_MODE by software?
Could you please described the method in detail?
Best Regards,
Tammy
