Hi

I am designing a system with i.MX6 Solo processor with MMPF0200.

My system needs the Processor to turn ON automatically when the power is applied ( No Button press).

In below community, if we need to turn ON automatically, we should control the POR_B.

https://community.freescale.com/message/358993#358993

So, I thought the attached circuit.

Is it correct?

If the circuit is correct, what is the recommend connections of PMIC_ON_REQ ?

Please clarify,

Sincerely

Hi ko-hey

I think it is correct, also would recommend to connect

PMIC RESETBMCU to processor POR as done in Sabre SD

schematic. PMIC_ON_REQ may be left unconnected.

Best regards

igor

Hello Shichin Huang,

Did you find by any chance a way to get rid of the "power on" button?

We're facing the same issue and we'd appreciate if you could share a solution to that.

Regards,

Ludovic

Hi Ludovic,

I use a reset IC to simulate the behavior of power button.

Sincerely,

Shichin

Ok, that's exactly what we were planning to do too as a last resort.

It's such a shame for an embedded device to require an action from a human in order to power-up.

Hi igor,

But if disconnect PMIC_ON_REQ signal from i.MX6 to PMIC,

you cannot power off PMIC power when you normally shut down from OS.(ex: press power off icon of Linux.)

Do you have any idea about auto power on and also support PMIC off when system normally shut down from Linux?

Thanks!

Regards,

Shichin
