Hello All! I'm trying to use the CAN interface of the processor mentioned in the subject under Linux. However, although the processor is supported in the mainline kernel, the CAN controller is not. I surveyed the INTERNET, but however, I did not find any usable information. Does anybody has some suggestions on the topic; The best way would be to patch the mainstream kernel somehow to support the Controller. Thank you in advance for any help!

Take a look at: http://lwn.net/Articles/343573/

Or if you are using Freescale MX27 Linux BSP there is FlexCAN support in

rpm/BUILD/linux/drivers/net/can/flexcan

Thank you, seems very usable, however I could not have a try right now. Anyway, I have a development board which has a factory linux which supports it's CAN controller. Could anybody give me a hint how to configure the the speed of the network from linux? Thank you very much in advance.
