directfb examples showing up weird on HDMI

Hi,

Using SabreSD with i.MX6Q and Linux 4.0.0 SDK.

I compiled directfb-1.4.0 and directfb-examples that are included in the SDK.  I run the examples and they are coming out all screwed up on my HDMI monitor.  I am attaching screenshots of how they are on my system and how they are supposed to look.  It looks like the graqphics are displayed 4 times in 4 quadrants of the screen and the color is messed up.  What can be causing this?

Please try to rename or remove the file /etc/fb.modes  If you run the /usr/bin/df_andi and take a look on the console printout, it is set to 640x480 according to the /etc/fb.modes first setting. These are results of running /usr/bin/df_andi and /usr/bin/df_neo
