Dear i.MX Developers,
I need to know about i.mx6 quad differences in industrial, Automotive and consumer applications. Can I use android OS that is developed for i.mx6 quad consumer application processor with i.mx6 quad industrial application processor.
Best Regards.
Please refer to the following resource regarding Freescale Product Qualification.

As for i.MX6 – using i.mx6 quad industrial device instead of consumer one – generally,
yes it is possible, but when selecting i.MX6 part numbers, please pay attention on
VPU, GPU, MLB modules presence and CPU frequency ratings, using corresponding hardware
specs in the Datasheets. Please refer to Figure 1 (Part Number Nomenclature -i.MX 6Quad
and i.MX 6Dual).

hi
thank you for quick response.
i just want to specify my question.
my question exactly is, "i.MX6 Quad consumer processor can be used in industrial tablets? because of having high performance of consumer version beside harsh environments endurance".
more detail, i want ask "extra heat sinks can help consumer processors to act like industrial/automotive versions"?
generally what is freescale suggestion for high performance industrial tablets ?
