Hi,

I have recently purchased imx8mini board.

I have installed ubuntu16.04 in the vmware

I have download the yocto project by using "repo init -u https://source.codeaurora.org/external/imx/imx-manifest -b imx-linux-sumo -m imx-4.14.98-2.0.0_ga.xml".

Then I run the commond:

->"DISTRO=fsl-imx-xwayland MACHINE=imx8mqevk source fsl-setup-release.sh -b build-xwayland"

->"bitbake fsl-image-qt5-validation-imx"

but there are some errors:
ERROR: ExpansionError during parsing /home/fushi/imx-yotoc-bsp/sources/poky/meta/recipes-graphics/images/core-image-weston.bb
Traceback (most recent call last):

1) since you use imx8mm, why do you build imx8mq board?

2) did you repo sync successfully?

3) don't forget install the host packages before build the bsp

Thank you. I noticed that.Repo sync successfully, and install the host packages before build the bsp.

refer to the error " Cannot allocate memory", how much memory do you use for building the bsp?

200G should be ok, if you build step by step according yocto user guide totally, you can try to clean the build folder and bitbake again, I have built this before without any error as yours, try to build again
