Xen support for Android

Hello,

Xen related files are available in Android 9.0.0 release package (e.g. android_p9.0.0_2.1.0-auto-ga_image_8qmek.tar.gz), but these are not available in Android 10.0.0 and higher releases packages. My queries are:

  1. Xen support is not available for Android 10.0.0 or higher version?
  2. Is there a way to make Xen enable?

Regards,

Ranadip

Hi @Ranadip ,

The files you're referencing (android_p9.0.0_2.1.0-auto-ga_image_8qmek.tar.gz) are specifically for Android Auto, which has support for Xen in the following recent versions apart from 9.0.0:

- android auto 10.0.0-2.4.0
- android auto 11.0.0_2.3.0
- android auto 11.0.0_2.5.0
- android auto 12.0.0_1.1.0

All of these can be found in the following link: Software for Android Automotive | NXP Semiconductors

Best regards,
Hector.

No XEN support for Android Automotive OS 12.0.0_2.1.0?

Could you inform me about this?

Best regards,

Hello @hector_delgado,

Thanks for the input.

I tried to flash Android Automotive prebuilt image in i.MX 8QuadXPlus board and getting the below error while running uuu_imx_android_flash.sh:

>> [partition does not exist ] FB[-t 600000]: flash bootloader_a bootloader-imx8qxp.img

I made sure the board is in serial download mode and the command I used is:

>> sudo ./uuu_imx_android_flash.sh -f imx8qxp -e

Do you have any idea how to resolve this error?

Note: The error is coming both for slot a and b.

Regards,

Ranadip

Hi @Ranadip ,

Which version of Android Automotive are you using? And are you flashing to the eMMC?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Hector.
