Hi Guys,
Anyone tried using VGA on the IMX53 sabre ard board (Board: MX53-ARD Rev. B as per uboot)
I use LTIB 11.05.01 kernel but dont see anything coming on the monitor screen (montior LED keeps blinking)
I tried bootargs for the video as follows:
video=mxcdi1fb:GBR24,1024x768M-16@60 di1_primary ard-vga
video=mxcdi1fb:RGB666,XGA di1_primary ldb=di1 ard-vga
PS: Also I observe when I have ard-vga in my bootags, then the ethernet doent come up (no eth0 device is reported when I do ifconfig -a )
Regards,
Madhu
Hi Madhu,
Have a look at the i.MX53 ARD Linux BSP release notes on page 5
It says:
Support VGA output.
Due to the pin conflict with WEIM, please note the following steps when running VGA on MX53 ARD RevB board:
-add boot option "ard-vga" in kernel launch command line.
For example video=mxcdi1fb:GBR24,VGA-XGA di1_primary vga ard-vga ldb=off
-Flash the images on SD or NAND and avoid to use Ethernet.
-HW configuration: Short PIN1-2 for J14 and J16 on CPU board
Hope this helps,
Hans-Peter
