Hi, I have a MIMXRT1020-EVK Board and a PCT2075DP-ARD. Is there some guide for making these two things together? I have already checked the 'Getting Started' for PCT2075DP-ARD, and it has a tutorial for Using PCT2075DP-ARD with MIMXRT1050-EVK Board.  Are the steps the same, or is there a different way? Any help is much appreciated.

Hello Nilz,

The i.MXRT1020-EVK is very similar to the i.MXRT1050-EVK, so you should be able to follow the steps on the Getting Started for the i.MXRT1050-EVK.

I hope that this information helps!

Regards,
Gustavo

In the document, 'UM11581 - Arduino Shields GUI and firmware installation', on page 5 and 6,

Under the headings '3.1.2 Modifying the EVK' and '3.1.3 Flashing the firmware', I have some queries(In red); kindly help me with the solution.

3.1.2 Modifying the EVK

There are changes that need to be made to the EVK for this step to work. Four resistors
need to be shunted to connect the SPI port: R280, R281, R270, R278. (Do I have to do this step for MIMXRT1020-EVK Board?)

3.1.3 Flashing the firmware

The IMXRT1050_v1.0.8_3.bin image is required for this step. (Where to find the bin image for MIMXRT1020-EVK Board?)
The guideline for flashing .bin image to imxrt1050 from a Windows PC includes the
following steps: (Are the steps required for MIMXRT1020-EVK Board? if so, where to find the instruction?)
1. Detection of rt1050 requires “Windows serial driver” which is available in the following
link. https://os.mbed.com/docs/mbed-os/v5.14/tutorials/windows-serial-driver.html
2. Connect the evk to windows PC via usb cable in j28 connector and install the driver.
Here we are going to flash by OpenSDA MSD drag/drop steps.
3. Configure the power supply from the Debug USB (connect J1 5-6).
Connect J28 OpenSDA interface with USB cable.
4. Set SW7 to OFF-OFF-OFF-ON.
5. Power on board.
6. Computer detects RT1050-EVK as removable device. Drag the generated *.bin file
into RT1050-EVK
7. Power off. Set SW7 to OFF-ON-ON-OFF.
8. Power on. Push on board reset button.

Hello Nilz,

Upon further observation, while the i.MXRT1020 and i.MXRT1050 are very similar, the usage of this PCT2075DP Arduino Shield requires firmware an additional HW modifications and I couldn’t locate information on what would be the required firmware and HW setup for the i.MXRT1020.

My apologies for the inconvenience.

Gustavo
