Turn off 3D GPU on IMX8MM for power optimization

Hi All,

We are working on IMX8MM board. Using weston as compositor and G2D as renderer. We know that G2D uses GPU section for rendering.

1. Our lightweight QT application is 2D, so we want to disable 3D GPU core. Is it possible?

2. When I tried to reduce GPU clock (default is 500MHz) to 200/100 MHZ using dts. GPU still uses minimum 300MHz frequency. Is it possible to reduce frequency further?

Hi @ajita02 

Did you try to use below command to reduce frequency? If you want to close it, you can disable it in device tree.
