Hi all,

We are using imx53 QSB based custom board and Linux version is Linux2.6.35.3.We are displaying the camera feed along with overlay on LVDS display using combined frame buffer. But we want to stream the same combined frame buffer video output on external display over USB2.0. So we want to make imx53 board as webcam and stream the video to external display by enabling USB webcam gadget device. I believe that USB Webcam gadget supports isochronous mode of transferring video data.

Is it possible to transfer combined frame buffer video data over USB2.0?

If it is possible, please give us detail on how can we achieve this?

Thanks,

Sujatha

Hello,

You may try using Ethernet over USB and Gstreamer.

To build support for Ethernet gadget : in menuconfig, this option is available under

Device drivers > USB support > USB Gadget Support > Ethernet Gadget (with CDC
Ethernet Support).

Have a great day,
Yuri
