Hi All,

I have two IMX Board which is run on Wince. But, what happens one board always resetting when watchdog starts and timing also very fast with real time.

DDR calibration test values are different for every test.

Problem absorbed in one of the board is,

1. Key stork issue (repeated character when press one character)

2. Timer issue (Booting very fast compared to normal working board)

3. Boot issue (Some times boot and some times not booting)

How we will test and verify issues regarding hardware and software?

Is there anything I want to do with Software/Hardware?

Regards,

Vino

Hi Vino

please check board using i.MX6 System Development User’s Guide

pay attention to clocks recommendations and ddr layout rules.

Thanks for the quick replay Igor,

Additionally, we have below observations:
Heating - During the booting, we have observed that the case temperatures of the  processor(i.MX6ULL) and DDR3 increase.
Touching processor and DDR3 together while turning ON the supply - When we touch both of these ICs, booting is normal. When we do not touch these ICs while powering ON, it will go to Recovery.
Please let us know is this assembly issue or any software issue?
Thanks & Regards,
Vino (rameshasp‌)

Hi vinothkumar

regarding "Touching" issue suggest to check power supplies and its grounding,

recheck power supplies requirements described in Hardware Guide.

Thanks for the replay Igor,

I have checked all the power rails and cloks(RTC,CPU,eMMC) and we are getting expected clocks and voltages but still board is resetting(not booting).

Please let us know do we need to check anything.

Thanks & Regards,

Vinoth
