The entry of data link layer(OS:linux) ,when using command "ping www.baidu.com"

Question:

I want to know the entry of data link layer(OS:linux) ,when using command "ping www.baidu.com",because I want to add some log to check ping data package(ping command lose package sometimes).

Can somebody help me?

The ping function is included as part of the networking utilities included on the Yocto BSPs from Open Embedded.

You can find more information for this package if you look at the fping recipe inside Yocto. Inside the recipe you can find the repository for this package’s source code.
