Support for ROHM's BD71837AMWV PMIC in iMX8MQ Android

Hello!

We have made a custom board of iMX8MQ by taking MCIMX8M-EVK evaluation kit refference design.

We have made only one major change in our design which is the PMIC. We have used ROHM's BD71837AMWV PMIC, as the PMIC used in MCIMX8M-EVK evaluation kit was not available.

We are trying the standard Android images provided for MCIMX8M-EVK evaluation kit provided in your website (screenshot attached), but the system keeps rebooting. Is this issue related to the change in PMIC? Is there an Android build or image supporting ROHM BD71837AMWV PMIC?

Hello,

Yes, this could be the cause of the reboot. For the i.MX8MQ we do not have such configuration I would suggest to use as reference the i.MX8MM early revision which used to have a similar PMIC and modify accordingly.
