Suggestion over eink kit

Hi all,

I would like to make an eink reader running Linux, with a good eink screen (I like so much the Pearl). What do you suggest?

The i.MX50 Evaluation Kit with the E Ink add-on board would be a good way to get started.  The i.MX50 includes an integrated EPD (Electrophoretic Display) Controller, the EPDC, which accelerates the process of driving framebuffer data to the E Ink display.  The Pearl panel is supported using that board and configuration.

Does the I.MX50 Evalutation Kit with the MX50EBOOKDC1 support partial updating of the screen (changing certain pixels without refreshing the whole display)?
