Simple Audio setup in Linux iMX6

Hello experts,

I have a simple audio setup on my board. I have an external DAC+Amplifier that connects to iMX6 over I2S and to a speaker (Mono).

There are no controls for the 'codec' -- it just plays what is sent over I2S.

There's no headphone or microphone... just one output with no configuration options.

(iMX6 is I2S Master, for clocking)

Can I use 'simple-audio-card' or something else to easily set up such a configuration?
