Hello,
many parts have pin number 1, often marked as dot on package.

Yuri.
Hi Yuri
Good. Finally, i came to conclusion through your help and other sources is that this kind of symbol representation is only for the probing purpose by the PCB designer/Layout Engineer. Am I correct ? Pl, find an attachment. Pl, correct me if i am wrong ??

Kapil Kumar.
Yes, Your idea is quite reasonable.

Hello,
it is just CAD marking for the first pin.
Have a great day,
Yuri

Hi Yuri
As per my limited knowledge, resistor does not have pin no 1 or pin no 2 , either way we can connect. Right ?
Hi,
Yes, a resistor in itself is symmetrical - it has no special pin numbering, but CAD may apply
such approach (to have marked pins) for compatibility with other parts.

Yuri.
Hi Yuri
can you explain little bit more, what do you mean by compatibility with other parts ..?? if possible , pleas, explain it through some examples.

Kapil Kumar.
