Hi Chew,

Please try both 10 and 01 positions of SW1.

I brick my sabrelite yesterday, i can't get any response from sabrelite, and below is what i did

In ucl2.xml, I add 6 lines before the line "List name=Sabre-SD-uBootOnly"

<LIST name="Sabre-SD-uBootOnly" desc="Only boot u-Boot.bin">

    <CMD state="BootStrap" type="boot" body="BootStrap" file ="u-boot.bin" >Loading U-boot</CMD>

    <CMD state="BootStrap" type="load" file="initramfs.cpio.gz.uboot" address="0x10C00000"

        loadSection="OTH" setSection="OTH" HasFlashHeader="FALSE" >Loading Initramfs.</CMD>

    <CMD state="BootStrap" type="jump" > Jumping to OS image. </CMD>

</LIST>

In cfg.ini, i replace name=Sabre-SD with

name = Sabre-SD-uBootOnly

In OS Firmware, i created empty u-boot.bin file

Sabrelite is connected through serial cable to USB.

run hyperterminal (115200, Data 8)

When i start MfgTool2.exe, below error appear

Monday, August 25, 2014 14:17:12   Start new logging

ModuleID[2] LevelID[1]: Boot command-- file[C:\imx6\New folder\Mfgtools-Rel-4.1.0_130816_MX6Q_UPDATER\Profiles\MX6Q Linux Update\OS Firmware\u-boot.bin] data buffer alloc failed

ModuleID[2] LevelID[1]: Parse ucl script failed, error code: 3

Hi Chew,

As of this writing, the latest U-Boot binaries are 2014.04:

     http://boundarydevices.com/u-boot-2014-04-release-mx6/

This URL is updated with each release:

hi

I paste the content in Linaro>OS Firmware into sbloader folder.

In command prompt, sb_loader.exe -f u-boot-mx6q-sabrelite.bin

Waiting for HID device for 2 seconds ..

HID device was not found.

Please place the device in recovery mode and restart the program.

I set boot switch to every location (00, 01), but not working

Hi Chew,

Some boards had SW1 mounted backwards, so "10" or "01" could be the serial boot loader position.

In the right position, you should see Windows notify you of a new (unrecognized) device when power-cycled in the correct position. In other words, you don't need sb_loader to determine if the device is in the right mode.

If none of the position yields this result, something is wrong with either hardware or cabling. The serial boot loader mode needs almost nothing besides proper power, a functioning CPU, and good cabling to a host device.

Regards,

Eric
