Greetings,

On Sabre Board for Smart Devices, 2 x MAX8903 modules are proposed for a battery operated version of the board. It is also said that they need to be connected to two Li+ batteries in parallel. Regarding this;

1. What type of batteries did NXP test the battery operated version if any thests were done at all? What were the mAh and the size of the batteries planned? How long did the batteries NXP tested, if any conducted, lasted for different operations? Are these information available?

2. What type of battery holder was planned to be used with the Sabre board with battery operated version?

Best Regards,

Mete

No thorough battery tests have been ever done on the i.MX6 SABRE SD board. The board provides two MAX8903 battery charger/power manager ICs and can operate two regular one cell 3.7V Li-ION batteries, one battery per MAX8903 IC.

There are two regular 0.1" pitch 4-pin single row connectors (one male, one female) provided on the board, they are connected in parallel. They are referenced as CON2 and CON3, please refer to the board schematics.

Have a great day,
Artur
