Question, i.MX283 LAN communication stops

Dear team,

I would like to ask about unused pin handling of i.MX28.

My customer is using i.MX283 and he faces the issue that LAN communication could stop at EMC test.

The customer has a concern as below.

i.MX283 does not have some peripherals compared with i.MX287.

And some pins are supposed not to be connected to its die internally in i.MX283 chip, but the peripheral modules still exist on its die.

If so, some input pads are left as Open on its die, and those pads can be the antenna for noise.

Could you show me how user should treat the pins which is not used on i.MX283?

(Especially the pins which can be used on i.MX287 but not assigned on i.MX283)

recommendation not to connect on board such pins ("NC"),

which is not used on i.MX283. I am afraid there are no i.MX28

specific recommendations in case EMC test. For EMC one can

use general recommendations for shielding and protection

described in literature. Regarding acting pads as antenna, one can

try to set associated gpios as output with low level.
