Query Regarding Apple CarPlay Support and Authentication Chip Reference Design

Hi NXP Support Team,

We are currently in the process of designing a custom baseboard for the NXP SoM processor module. As part of our design requirements, we intend to support Apple CarPlay functionality.

Could you please advise if NXP provides any reference designs or documentation related to Apple's authentication chip integration? Additionally, does the SoM include any built-in support for Apple authentication, or would an external authentication IC be required?

Our reference designs/BSP does not include built-in Apple authentication

Due to Apple’s MFi licensing restrictions, you need join to Apple MFi program to access to the authentication chip and integration guidelines.
