Poor Graphics performance with android kk4.4.2/rel_imx_3.10.17_1.0.0_ga

I'm having poor graphics performance with android kk 4.4.2 /  rel_imx_3.10.17_1.0.0_ga on imx6q board. I only see the issue when using LVDS display, I do not see the issue when I use HDMI display.

As a result the mouse cursor is not redrawn smoothly when I move the mouse.

The fps of hdmi is about the double of lvds when benchmarking it.

- why do I see the issue only on lvds?

- Do I need to update my opengl libs? currently I'm using default one provided by 442

The yocto project provide gpu-viv-bin-mx6q-3.10.17-1.0.0-hfp.bin for regular linux rootfs. Does freescale provide gpu viv libraries for android compatible with 3.10.17?

No, they are compatible with 3.0.35 and Vivante v4.6

KK4.4.3 are compatible with 3.10.17 and Vivante v5

Hello Oussama,

Have you tried using the newest bsp available KK4.4.3.2 ?, it has a newer GPU library.

I would recommend that you migrate to the newer bsp.
