I am using the iMX7 Dual SoM from Toradex in a design. I wish to generate PUL/DIR control signals for controlling a servo motor from this. The reference manual mentions the FlexTimer Module as well as a PWM module separately.
While the Flextimer module mentions that it can be used to generate PWM signals for motor control, the PWM sections mentions that it has been optimized to generate Audio.
So what should I refer to if I need to generate motion profiles to control a servo motor.

It looks like that your servo motor is step-motor.
This motor requires generates various frequency for signal PUL. Maximum frequency for step motors is 1000Hz - 5000Hz.
Usually Flextimer module or system timer is used for this task.
