MXP MCU Boot Utility vs MCUxpresso Secure Provisioning Tool

Hello,

I'm trying to use the secure boot features for an i.MX RT1024, and I found two tools that seem kind of redundant to each other and I want to understand their differences.

  • NXP MCU Boot Utility: Is this an official tool? It seems confusing because apparently it is developed by NXP, but it has sounds (I like them!), links to personal blogs... and then I'm starting to think that this tool is not made by NXP
  • MCUxpresso Secure Provisioning Tool: It seems more professional, yet less intuitive. I like by far NXP MCU Boot Utility, it seems more intuitive... but I don't really know about the features of each other.

If someone please could clarify which path (NXP Mcu Boot Utility or MCUxpresso Secure Provisioning) should I follow... In my opinion, if one of those tools is redundant, maybe it should be deprecated in favour of the best of them, as it is confusing to have two applications for apparently the same.

Thanks in advance!
