MIMXRT1024EVK JTAG debuggin with Cyclone Issue

Hello,

Currently working on getting the JTAG option through Cyclone debugger working on the Evaluation board. We can successfully flash the board using SWD but we will need to get JTAG working since our final design will require daisy chaining multiple 1024's.

We have the board externally powered and have tried multiple configurations programming on J55 to see if we can get the board to program but keep running into a error $0000007 which is essentially a cant communicate with the board error. I am hoping that its a simple the board needs a particular jumper configuration while the cyclone has this options selected to properly flash this board.

Any help is appreciated!

Hi @vnevare ,

Thanks for your interest in NXP MIMXRT series!

RT10XX uses SWD as debug interface by default, if you want to use JTAG, you need to burn eFuse, please refer to this section in RM:

Note that eFuse can only be modified once, meaning that if it is changed to JTAG there is no way to change it back to using SWD. Also, regarding the SJC module, NXP provides a related AN for clarification: link

Best regards,
Gavin
