Hello,

I have been using MCIMX7D5EVM10SD for our product development for some time now, which is a 1.3 silicon version.  My question is how "safe" is it to go back to 1.2 silicon version?  I understand it is not recommended, but what kind of system performance changes am I looking into?  Are there any known problem I will inherent going back to MCIMX7D5EVM10SC (besides discontinued part)?  I checked the errata list for both of the versions and they look very similar.  The diffs are the following:

D (1.3 version): e11166,

C (1.2 version): e10728, e10787, e10629

Thanks,

Yevgeniy

There is no performance change, we have security issue located in the rev 1.2 which has been fixed in the rev 1.3 and this is explain in the erratum e11166 takes place only for the i.MX7 Silicon Revision 1.3, where the boot ROM  vulnerability fixes were applied. In this sense e11166 may be considered as result of the ROM fixes

As for security vulnerability errata ERR010872 and ERR010873 (rev 1.2) - please use the following resource.

i.MX & Vybrid Security Vulnerability Errata - ERR010872, ERR010873”
