Hello
Hardware: i.MX 7Dual revision 1.2 and 1.3
Software: Linux, based on NXP 4.14.98-2.0.0_ga.
Scenario:
* The M4 core is executing a program that continuously generates UART messages and changing the value of a GPIO.
* The MIPI display is active.
* The ambient temperature is 45 degrees Celsius.
* The measured temperature, by the A7, is 75C.
The following command is used to read the A7 temperature:
# cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/temp
* The Linux get stuck after a few minutes.
* The problem doesn't occur if the M4 or the LVDS is not active.
* Some SOCs requires a higher temperature to recreate the problem.
Please let me know if additional information is needed.
Thanks,
Uri
Hi Uri,
Have you considered the procedure mentioned on section 2.8.5 of the i.MX Linux Reference Manual document (IMXLXRM Rev. L4.14.98-2.0.0_ga), and also, the notes of Table 10 regarding the proper DTB Description according with the board revision on i.MX Linux Release Notes document (IMXLXRN Rev. L4.14.98-2.0.0_ga)?
Hope this will be useful for you.
Best regards!
/Carlos

Hi Carlos,
The SOC operation frequency was limited to 996MHz.
We are unable to reproduce the problem with SOC frequency of 996MHz.
Thank you for your help.
