Is it possible to move the LPSPI2 peripheral on the i.MX 8ULP from the default Cortex M33 to the Cortex A35?

I believe that my original question was off-base because the LPSPI2 port and other peripherals connected through PBRIDGE2 don't appear to be available to either the M33 or A35. They appear to be accessible only on the DSP.

Can someone confirm this or let me know how we can access the PBRIDGE2 peripherals (LPI2C2/3, LPSPI2/3, and LPUART2/3) on either or both the A35 and M33?

hi @ericnelsonaz

Have you been able to access LPSPI2 from anywhere (m33 or a35) after this?

FWIW I've tried and reached the same conclusion wrt the DSP domain; LPSPI2 is on PBRIDGE2 and I couldn't manage to make the m33 core access it. I've asked about it here last week (no reply at this point, but it's been less than a week): https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-Processors/i-MX8ULP-access-pbridge2-from-m33/td-p/1923507

As a workaround I'm trying spi-gpio with gpio forwarded over the m33 core, but it'd be great if there could be a way to use the pbridge2 peripherals that are just unused otherwise...

No. We didn't find a solution.

We used spi-gpio as a stopgap and then reworked out board.

Hi @Rita_Wang

Is it possible to get some more information on this now that the i.MX 8ULP has been released?
