Hi NXP and Community friends,

I need to understand differences between i.MX6Solox SoCs part no.  MCIMX6X1CVO08AC  and MCIMX6X3CVO08AC in terms of LCD interface. After reading information about LCD interface of the SoC in page 3 on the datasheet of the i.MX6solox , I came to conclusion that I must use SoC configuration  MCIMX6X3CVO08AC  in order to be able to implement a 7 in 24-bit display using LCD parallel interface on that SoC. The evidence for my decision is that the part MCIMX6X1CVO08AC   does not support 2D/3D GPU according to the datasheet. I would be happy if you could help me to confirm that I made right decision. or in the other world , may the part MCIMX6X1CVO08AC includes a LCD interface which can be used with that display for simple graphical tasks, like showing texts and labels.  Looking for your feedback and thanks.

Hello Musadjan,

See below,please!

1. IMX6SXIEC.pdf

2. About LCD interface

Below is from evk schematic

3. eLCDIF controller inside of CPU

GPU and eLCDIF controller are different IP, eLCDIF is used to display images on lcd screen, BUT GPU is used to accelerate 2D/3D graphics.  If you just want to display simple image , not need 2D/3D acceleration.  It is no problem to choose MCIMX6X1CVO08AC.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Have a nice day!
