Hi,

I am working on one project and need J1939 protocol support on CAN interface & I am new to this protocol. I am using iMX6Q processor in my application.

My question is, Which specification I need to check in CAN transceiver to support J1939 protocol on CANbus?

I am planning to use TJA1043 CAN transceiver in my design. Please suggest.

Thanks,

Ritesh

Hi Ritesh,

I am not working in the hardware design but I have some experience in J1939 protocol.

SAE J1939 physical layer is coming under ISO 11898.In the data sheet of your TJA1043,it says it will support ISO 11898(Fully ISO 11898-2:2003 and ISO 11898-5:2007 compliant). So I think this one will work for you.

Thanks

Naveen
