Is the application note AN 12225 (How to reduce SoC power ..) applicable to imx8mp

Hello,

I am working on current consumption reduction on our imx8mp custom board.  

I want to know it the Application note AN 12225 is also applicable to the imx8mp.

If yes,  where can I find the similar function imx8mq_clocks_init in the clk-imx8mp.c.

I am using kernel version 5.4.70.

That Application Note is only for iMX8MQ.

For iMX8MP you can use the AN13747 or the next community post:

Hello Chavira,

I have looked at the application note AN 13747 and the note is meant for yocto build.  We do not use yocto to build our image.  We use Buildroot for this.  Is there an application note for other build process?

The link was meant for kernel 6.1xx . Does that mean it would not work for older kernel version?  At the moment our images are built on either kernel version 5.4.70 or 5.15.

Are there any other documents I could use for this task?

The document is applicable from 5.10.52_2.1.0 or later.

We provide our BSP under the Yocto Project and I only provide the documentation with Yocto.
