unfortunately  no...

i am not clear with IMX8MQ   (NXP i.MX Release Distro 4.9.88-2.0.0 \n \l)   video and graphics capabilities 

the IPU, encoder is not available -- clear 

i am not clear with ovelay support , where documents talk about overlaysink and no overlaysink available

could you explain how to achieve overlay video play back on imx8mq  ?

also how to use kmssink plane id  ? is xwayland is capable of overalys ? 

the file system does not have multiple frame buffer images /dev/fb0 only ? is it normal?

how can we write multiplayer applications (video and graphics) with kmssink ?

could you please help me ?

- The i.MX8 has Display Control subsystem that has the Scaler’s purpose is to resize images for display.

- Yes, we have gstreamer

- There are three scalers within the DCSS design, one dedicated to each of the three display channels.

we are using imx8mq evm for our project,  (software yocto Distro 4.9.51-mx8-ga Yocto release name :Morty) 

we have resize requirement in our project and we could not find any gstreamer plugin to resize the video frame using hw - capability 

could you please suggest which gstreamer package to be added to get the resize plugin ?

also i am not clear on IPU  based  resize module , do we have IPU block in IMX8mq and corresponding gstreamer support ? like in imx6 ( mfw_ipucsc) ?
